If you ever see "Road to Perdition" remind yourself that during filmings for this Tom Hanks movie the base for "Alone Together" was born. Well base? Actually Sam Mendes was doing the filming while he used a break to phone Michael and ask him, if he'd be part of the "Divas at the Donmar". After some thinking Michael agreed to do the mad thing! Being Michael, just doing a concert in a more intimate atmosphere wouldn't suffice. Together with pianist Jason Carr and director Jonathan Butterell he created this fabulous one-man show evolving around the life of a performer purely told by song!
