Showman Michael launches UK tour

Michael Ball launches his latest nationwide tour with a concert at Blackpool Opera House on Sunday. The Michael Ball 2005 tour will feature the performer singing some of his best known signature tunes such as Love Changes Everything from Aspects of Love ( the song which gave him his first number one hit in 1989), Phantom of the Opera and All I ask of You from Phantom , Sunset Boulevard and Tell me on a Sunday, as well as some personal favourites such as If Tomorrow Never Comes, When You Tell Me That You Love Me and Michael's recent own composition, That's What Love is For.
[ JustBall.Net comment: He definitely was not yet sure about the song list. Check out the ACTUAL list here . ]

Many of the featured songs can be found on Michael's latest CD, Love Changes Everything – The Best of Michael Ball [ JustBall.Net comment: It's called The Essential Michael Ball, which was relevant in this tour, see our reviews.], released through Universal Music TV and a big hit for the charismatic performer.

Michael is also writing new material – some of which may be featured on Sunday.

Since his auspicious West End debut as Marius in Les Miserables in 1985, Michael Ball has enjoyed an enormously successful career as the UK's top male musical theatre star and million selling recording artist – he has sold over three million albums in the UK alone – and live concert performer.

Michael has been performing all over the UK for more than 10 years – the shows always a sell-out whether they're staged at traditional theatres, stately homes and castles, royal parks or festivals.

His legion of faithful fans has travelled to see their idol in concert in far flung places – from Australia to Kuala Lumpur, from Hong Kong to America.

As well as a stack of gold and platinum discs, Michael has also received numerous awards in recognition for his extraordinarily successful career including the Variety Club of Great Britain's Recording Artiste of the Year and Theatregoers Club of Great Britain who voted him the Most Popular Musical Actor of the last 21 years.

Michael most recently appeared as Count Fosco in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Woman in White at the Cambridge Theatre in London. [JustBall.Net comment: It is the Palace Theatre in London, actually.]
