Les Dennis proudly pats wife Claire's tummy as she unveils her baby bump for the first time

~ Jody Thompson,The Daily Mail- 12/10/2010 ~

Les Dennis proudly posed with his wife for the first time in public last night after announcing he was going to be a father for the third time.

The 56-year-old comedian and 40-year-old life coach Claire are already parents to two-year-old daughter Eleanor and said last week they were 'delighted' to be adding to their family.

Les gently caressed the tiny bump sported by Claire after he'd sung live on stage at a Michael Ball and Friends charity bash at the Prince Of Wales Theatre in London.

Les duetted at one point with his Radio 2 DJ, ITV chatshow host and theatre star friend Michael, and also did a solo turn, singing a song from the musical Hairspray, in which he now stars.

Others performing to raise money for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice included Brian Conley, Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley and Ashes to Ashes star Philip Glenister.

Dennis, who also has a 30-year-old son Philip from his first marriage, spoke recently about how he felt to be a father again in his 50s.

He gushed: 'When Claire and I knew we wanted to be together, I wasn't sure about starting a family. But I loved her enough that I'd be happy with it.

'Then, when she got pregnant, I was over the moon and released somehow from any worry about being a dad again in my mid-50s.'

The pair got married in November last year and had their wedding reception at Gilgamesh in Camden.

Former Family Fortunes host Les meanwhile is currently touring the UK in the award-winning West End musical Hairspray as Wilbur Turnblad.

He stars alongside Michael Ball, Brian Conley and former Brookside star Michael 'Sinbad' Starke, who all alternate the cross-dressing leading role of Edna Turnblad.

Les was previously married to Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, but they split after 11 years together in 2002 after she had a very public affair in 2000 with Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey.

He cheated on his first wife Lynne Hesseltine with actress Sophie Aldred, who played Doctor Who assistant Ace.
